Is there a saga podcast upcoming?
Yep, this week we will cover Black Science #8, Revival #23, and Saga #22.
Thanks for your letter.
Oh good can't wait
No problem, it's good to be a part of your show!
Thanks for supporting us - we appreciate it more than you know.
I haven't been updating the thread - I sort of figured that most people follow us on FB or Twitter by now, if they want updates, and I got busy and felt bad that the only thing I was doing on the forum for a while was pimping the podcast...
In no way was I offended by your rebuttals, I love listening to them. That's why I send them in; I wanna hear your feedback!
In regards to their age I agree that Sophia was pretty much on. With Carl, I don't know, maybe my perception is a little wonky, as me and my friends are probably the smaller of the bunch at my age. But you're right that it varies.
And the username... well it's a long story. It came from picking a nickname in Backyard Baseball (PC) which I got out of a cereal box. That nickname gave your character the highest male voice, and as a 5 or 6 year old, that's who I picked time after time. Along with my email address (which is just as childish if you have seen it), those are the only 2 usernames I've ever used since I was 5 or 6. Probably should change it at some point, but everything I have is associated with one of them and I don't feel like changing up my entire "brand."
And yeah, at my age, I think me and my friends have heard it all. Especially with The Walking Dead. The Negan introduction came only about 10 issues after I had gotten up to date with them, so I knew what I was in for long ago.
Loved the podcast like always!
Just sent in my letter for this week
Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?
