Negan says he doesn't advocate rape, but before Negan bashes a certain character's head in Hh tells Rick that if he steps out of line that he'll have a couple of his boys "run a train on him."

Maybe that was a scare tactic, but for some reason I feel as though Negan wasn't bluffing about that claim.

I don't either. Despite having quite a few interactions with the Saviors in the storyline, this is only the 2nd "rule" that has been revealed to us. The Saviors obviously have a specific set of codes/laws/rules that their society abides by... at least on the surface. I'd assume that most of the "rules" exclude Negan, and he can do whatever he wants. But I'm sure there are plenty of high ranking people in the Saviors organization...we've only seen a couple (Carson, Dwight), but there are surely more. Rules like "We don't rape" are probably broken on occasion - especially when dealing with people who aren't members of the Saviors.

Also, I wouldn't put it past Negan to kill this guy just to get in the head of Holly. Of the many things Negan is good at, fucking with people's minds is at the top of the list. Holly has a ton of information that can be useful to Negan. He needs to find a way to get it. He will think of any way to use her to his advantage. But what Rick is willing to do to get her back alive is a question that neither Negan or Rick knows right now.

Gotta say I did expect Negan to stop the rape attempt but I didn't see the knifing. Love it.

yeah that's a good point, but i still think it was kind of stupid on Negan's part. I mean, he needs all the man power he can get right now. Did he forget about the herd in his front lawn and the war that has just been declared on him?
