That makes me think about Bill Paxton. Has anyone seen "Frailty." It's not new but it's well worth the watch with a nice twist to it at the end.

I liked it, and I know Babs loved it.
Bill Paxton's just about like Travolta for me -- I watch any movie he's in no matter how sucky it may be. Twister, Vertical Limit, Frailty, Tombstone, Apollo 13, Mighty Joe Young, etc.

Who dudn't love a movie about a big freakin' gorilla?

Aw, yeah. I had added the DVD and put it to the top of the list as it looked so good. It certainly wasn't disappointing!

The Offspring as in "From a Whisper to a Scream' with Vincent Price? If you say yes I will think you totally rock.
Okay awesome list but why isn't Devils Rejects on that list! And you should see Frontiers, Stake Land, The Beyond, Trick-or-Treat, FEAST and Martyrs if you have not!

Frailty, yes! That's another hidden Gem. Paxton was really good in that and so was the kid that played the eldest son. Anyway, I've always thought Paxton was one of those underrated actors, he's been great since his "You're one can short of a six-pack, dude." and "Butter your muffin." Days.

My favorite story from that movie is the one with the man who wanted to live forever...........
I remember seeing that as a kid and the image at the end stuck with me to this day!

"20 Years After"
It took place in a post nuke USA where people had been living in caves, cellars, etc to avoid the radiation and were just starting to emerge. The story centers around a pregnant girl, one of the first in anyone's memory, since the bombs. (Sounds familiar doesn't it?)
To be totally honest I thought it was pretty bad, (hokey), but the production values and the acting was good enough that some might like it. The one professional review I found was not that bad. The movie is from a Broadway play, so there is not much in the way of action and special effects. I guess you would say it is a psychological drama.
It streams on Netflix so give it a shot if you are a member and think it is worth the time.

I knew it would be bad and never bothered. Grave Encounters was a cool low budget haunted/shakey cam movies.

Stake Land. Was a great little (local to my area) low budget indie film. Like the Walking Dead (Which is why netflix reccomended the movie to me) it focused more on characterization rather then the gore and the apocalypse. Acting was great, the atmosphere of the film was great (especially for me seeing the run down areas not far from me) and the main characters are really likable. Actually one of the best movies Ive watched all year.
Anyways if you love post-apocalyptic movies then you will want to check this one out for sure.
I finally got around to watching Stake Land the other day. I agree with your review; I really enjoyed it.

I certainly remember that. It was based on Vampire: the Masquerade. Huge chunks of my mid-late 90's/early 00's were eaten up by that game & other WoD properties. I don't remember a ton about the show other than it existing -- I think I only actually saw a couple episodes.
