The contents of spoiler tags are not shielded when previewing the thread by placing the cursor over a thread title. It might be nice to fix this for those who may want to preview the thread this way without being spoiled in the process. Thanks!

Xavier is looking into it, but he believes that it's out of our control to change.

If you're in the spoiler forum, or a thread is titled that it has spoilers, I would suggest not using this feature. I know how that sounds, but I don't think it's something that is going to go away, unfortunately.
