We know Jenner's "didn't find anything unexpected" with the group's blood... but.. what really did he find? By his own admission they havn't found out what the vector is. They don't know if it's a bacteria.. a virus... fungus or even if it's a weird genetic mutation. Is it perhaps possible that all the groups tests turned up normal? Maybe there isn't even anything detectable in the blood that they have found yet. Any thoughts?

I was under the impression that they didn't know the root of the problem, but that the same strain was showing up in everyone's blood. I don't honestly think they would have gone through the whole "Jenner's whisper" story if it meant absolutely nothing.

Well as a scientist Jenners would have tested everyone regardles in the hopes an anomoly showed up, but they would still know everyone turned regardless.

They can't all have been normal as Shane turned after being shot.

just watched this episode recently, when Rick asked what the results were, Jenners response was," no surprises" I take it to mean he found the pathogen in all of them. my thinking now is that he was hoping that someone wasn't afflicted. kind of a last ditch effort to see if someone was miraculously immune, or different in a way that could gain him some insight into the plague.

But he clearly says they have no clue WHAT it is. After the finale it got me thinking... maybe they only see the effects it has.. the high fever, the refiring neurons, but maybe no evidence of what it actually is. No antibodies... no chemical imbalances... maybe in terms of the show it's just as scientifically viable to say screw it.. it's the rapture. as it is to site a medical cause. ( Aside.. i am not saying I think it IS the biblical end times, just there isn't any scientific evidence on WHAT is causing it yet)

I'm guessing he saw some sort of mark in the blood draws indicating the presence of the Walker mutation. It could be something that doesn't easily fall into a category like virus or bacteria. as we watch it, we have to remember he wasn't talking with other scientists, or even working too hard on the problem anymore. He was waiting for the cleansing fire to pour through the CDC and take him out, and the people he's talking too. That sort of conversation would be academic to him by the time they asked.

"Step it up to Red Alert!"
"Are you absolutely sure, Sir? It does require changing the lightbulb."
