Hey everyone, I liked the past episode a lot and when I saw the ending with Andrea in the "Torture Chamber", I immediately thought of something from the comics. Do you guys think Andrea is going to get her iconic scar? I sure hopes she does get it now...

I know that the Governor doesn't torture her in the comics and that she receives it from Tomas in the comics, but it would be the perfect opportunity for her to get it now. She's going to get tortured anyway, so why not just give her the scar that makes her character so much more awesome? What do you think? Do you want her to get it or not? Why (not)?

Lol, when I saw the censored word in the title, I thought you meant D*ck.
It makes sense, Y'know? Her in the torture chamber, taking Michonne's place from the comics, and what happens.....After.

But yeah, maybe she will get her scar, it would be cool.

Yeah sorry about that, I wanted to make sure I didn't spoil anything. And maybe, if the governor does the same thing he does to Michonne in the comics Andrea might get the D as well :P.
Alright that was... gross

I would think the producers and executives would want to keep Laurie Holden's lovely face untarnished, because they are like that with actors and actresses. I don't see it happening, but would not complain if it was done well.

EDIT: And yes, I realize that they would use a prosthetic, in case anyone assumed I mean they might actually scar Laurie Holden. Haha

Ehhhh, I think it'd be a hassle for both Holden and the make-up crew to always have to put on the scar every episode.

This is another logical counter-argument.

I want her to get the scar. To me it's always represented what she's been through and what a tough survivor she is.

Both scars, actually. I think it's impossible to make Laurie Holden look ugly.

Also agree. She is a beautiful woman. I think the scar would be very cool as well but im with everyone else here. I think it would be a hassle to put the scar on her for every episode onward. The governor is different because he doesnt need special effects on his eye every episode because he doesnt always take his eye patch off.

Agreed again.
I know the scar would be hassle, though, but it would be so cool for her to have the scar.

Agreed! :) I would think they'd have a way to do it, like maybe CGI on a scar like they do with Herschel's leg?

It wouldn't be that much of a hassle. They could make a prosthetic and just glue it to the side of her face at the start of the day, then blend it in with make up. It wouldn't take that long. They make zombies for every episode, gluing a prosthetic shouldn't be hard.

And the scar on her forehead can just be done with make up, cause that car is faint. I think they should do it!

I thought the same thing when I saw Andrea in the Chair. The Governor is going to mess her up, there is no question there. Getting her Scars and ear damage from the Governor would be a good way to make up for the missing Thomas bit.

How would doing a scar in make up each shoot day be any harder than Hershell's leg, or Merle's hand, or the dozens of walkers each day?

I feel like Andrea getting her trademark scars would make Show Andrea more like Comic Andrea, which I would welcome.

Well, for Hershel and Merle, they just wear a green boot and glove, respectively, so that would take very little time for the actors involved. I feel I should say, though, that I am not against Andrea getting her scar, and I merely suggested the prosthetic trouble as a possible reason why it wouldn't be done.

I understand your complaint, but if you haven't read the comics, why come into a thread that is clearly marked as containing comic spoilers?

If anyone laughs at my knowledge of this fact I will smite you - but they put a prostetic and realistic looking scar on Todd Mannings (Roger Howorth) face for General Hospital and that is on daytime TV daily for the last 50 years so I think they could manage a realistic prostectic scar for a weekly series of limited episodes.

Not to mention the scar on John Locke in Lost, the one that went right over his eye. It looked so realistic too, and he said it didn't take that long to apply.

That is just so rude. I recently met her at a convention and not only is she absolutely gorgeous, she is so with very little makeup and having just arrived off a flight 15 minutes before we had met. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. *shrug*

Edit - Steph how could I have fogotten that! Its only my favorite show that I watched 4-5 times through! ;)
