My least favorite TWD characters:

1-Negan: Stupid, bonheaded and, above all, BORING... The feeling JesusMonroe and Soaked_Pancakes have for The Governor, I clearly understand since I feel exactly the same about Negan. "There was a point where he just became unenjoyable"... and for me it started BEFORE we ever saw him... Even his minions made him unenjoyable... How many times does he have to torture, kill, threaten, harass? Enough is enough. It doesn't add anything to the story. No interest. Nada. Can't wait for him to bite the dust so we can get to more interesting stuff. If it was me, his existence would have ended at "Little pig..." or even before...

2-The Moptop Savior: I hated him the first time I saw him. Self-important asshole. And he is linked to the above so...

3-Sam the Butcher: Killed Josh Hamilton. Enough to make me hate that bastard.

4-Tara:She's a total bitch. Needs a good kick in the ass. Wouldn't play tough if she wasn't surrounded by goons. Wouldn't last a nanosecond against Andrea or Michonne. Oh yeah. and she's linked to that villain I'm tired of.

5-Derek (Scavenger): Another one who likes to play tough for no reason. Got what he deserved. Fast. Negan's existence should have ended the exact same way. A yeah and the "Little pig" thing...

6-Chris: Eats other people. Nuff said

7-Ben: Killed a rabbit. Killed his own brother.

8-Carson: Fucking bespectacled snitch who licks Negan's ass. Mark got tortured because of that jerk.

9-Thomas Richards: Killed two of Herschell's daughters. Sick fuck.

10-The Governor: Sick fuck. What else can I say? Rise of the Governor is the reason why he's not higher on the list. And his arc was more interesting than the current one.

Honorable mentions: Major Gavin, Any member of the saviors, Pete Anderson

How are people saying Shiva already? Seriously?

I love the tiger and I wish we see it a lot. And I love Ezekiel too. They've been here only for one issue but these are cool characters. In fact, I liked Ezekiel as soon as issue 108 cover was unveiled and wished he was a good guy, which he seems to be!

Some people bitch about the tiger thing but some people, me included, truly love the idea.

Sorry but what interesting stuff? Negan is the first MAJOR human villain threat since the Governor. I've said my feelings on the Governor but the conflict he created made for engaging story. Volume 15 and 16 were immensely boring, as were most of the Alexandria Safe Zone. I would've stopped reading if the writing wasn't so good. There's no interesting stuff without Negan. Rick wouldn't have met the Kingdom and they'd just be at Alexandria chilling

Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

Except for the walkers!! I really enjoy the walkers! That's why we have that great story, non? And as for the others... that's the idea, no? Kirkman made them so we can hate them? Negan I hate AND find him uninteresting. Same for the other saviors (except Dwight). The others are interesting in my opinion (except for the Butcher).

Sorry but what interesting stuff?

Me, I truly enjoyed the Alexandria Safe Zone arc. Different from the rest. Having antagonists and intrigues "from the inside" was a great idea and I truly enjoy seeing how people cope with the walkers problem in different ways. There isn't always a need for a "governor-like" villain. But I agree with you the governor arc made for some engaging story. I beg to differ about Negan. That arc would have been fine if it didn't last so long. Now it has become boring. Always the same bullshit. That's why I'm happy about the Kingdom arc and Dwight trying to do something too. THAT makes this arc more interesting, that makes for better story telling than justNegan killing, hurting people, swearing, and babbling nonsense about a baseball bat or his wives... Come on...

Yes that would be the point of antagonists..
Understandable if you don't find the character interesting over all. But it's kind of stating the obvious saying you dont like the antagonists, no?
You don't like the villains?? No way!

I think there's a difference there, though. There's disliking a villain, and then there's hating a villain so much that you love him/her. There's been plenty of villains that I've felt that way about ("Fringe"'s David Robert Jones, Captain Windmark, Walternate, Milo Stanfield... "LOST"'s Ben Linus, Mikhail Bakunin, Martin Keamy, Charles Widmore, the Man in Black... "Justified"'s Boyd Crowder, Arlo Givens, Dickie Bennet, Dewey Crowe, Ellstin Limehouse, Wynn Duffy, Bo Crowder, Robert Quarles, Nicky Augustine... "Breaking Bad"'s Gus Fring, (debatably villainous) Walter White... "Dexter"'s Brian Moser, Paul Bennett, Arthur Mitchell, Christine Hill, Travis Marshall, Louis Greene, Lila West, Isaac Sirko... "Portal"'s GLaDOS, Wheatley... and I can go on and on with villains from loads of other shows, movies, games and maybe a few books (admittedly, I hardly ever read <_<)).
The Walking Dead, however, doesn't appear to have any of those sorts of villains. I've never found myself rooting for the villains in The Walking Dead. Admittedly, I did find the Hunters intriguing, but partly because I didn't view them as actual villains, but rather morally gray folks who tackled a concept that I thought was really interesting to venture.

At this point of The Walking Dead's life, one must wonder how Kirkman wants us to feel about his villains. Maybe we're not supposed to secretly root for them? The opposite is my understanding. Regardless, I don't secretly root for them.

10.) Eugene (When it comes down to it Eugene is a pretty smart guy. Lied and was able to hook up with someone competent and survive a hell of a lot longer than many other characters who actually try and do shit. And now he's making bullets... I'm sold.)

9.) Paul "Jesus" Monroe. (Who doesn't love this guy? Doing his crazy monkey flips around with his crazy legs. And on top of that, he's a master escape artist. The whole package. His only problem is being too damn nice. What a problem to have. Warms my heart.)

8.) Herschel Greene (Not to compare the comics with the TV show, but the TV Show Herschel in my opinion is way more likable. However, he still makes the list. His story was dramatic, and nothing ever seemed to go Herschel's way. Sure... he was irrational at times but, he really got deal a shit hand. What really got me was his death. Come on... Just letting someone shoot you in the face.)

7.) Axel (This guy was the man. Not only did he look like an 80s Rock God, he was also the only prisoner who wasn't completely retarded. Lets try to take over the prison just the two of us with these shotguns against 10 people. WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?)

6.) Carl Grimes (He murders people like its his job now. I mean... Ben, that's fine. Little psychotic twerp probably deserved it. But, seven grown adults with an assault rifle? I'm impressed.)

5.) Rick Grimes (He's the main character. Of course he would be on the list. I really liked Rick up until he joined with the Alexandria Safe Zone and they tried to rebirth his police gimmick. I don't want to see a damn cop doing his job in a zombie apocalypse, I don't want to be scared of blue lights behind my car on the road, you can't take one of the few perks of a ZA away.)

4.) The Governor (I gotta say, he holds a dear place to my heart. I really cared about Walking Dead back then, and The Governor led the charge for the "golden age" of Walking Dead. Arguably the most interesting arc in the series to date, its been hard to top his murderous ways. Not to mention attacking the prison with a severed dick and scooped out eyeball.)

3.) Michonne (I don't care if you say she's unrealistic, she gets a lot of story time and is usually involved in key plot events. Its hard not to start getting attached, and when I think about it... If Michonne bit the bucket, I would actually care. Unlike 99% of the Alexandria Safe Zone Citizens now.)

2.) Tyreese (Very likable character, and could be seen as the good guy of the Zombie Apocalypse. I mean sure he brutally murdered Chris and chopped him up and threw him in a fire. But, Tyreese had heart and a dramatic story that kept you on the edge of your seat until the very end.)

1.) Negan (Maybe its that new villain finally appearing in the Walking Dead twinkle in my eye, or maybe I just think he's really funny. Either way, Negan is what's happening now in Walking Dead... and really... that's all anyone cares about. What's happened, happened? Lets look to the future. And the foreseeable future sees Negan!)

I think you got it right. Kirkman really wants us to hate his villains and he succeeds at that. He doesn't want us to root for them sometimes like we root for Walter White, like we rooted for Gus Fring sometimes before he went totally apeshit maniacal, like we sometimes rooted for Clay Morrow in Sons of Anarchy's last season... The only times I sometimes rooted for the Governor was in the novels and I think that's what Kirkman and Bonasingna wanted...

That's the same for the aforementionned villains. When Gilligan wants us to hate Fring more than anything else, he succeeds at that, and when he wants us to rethink about us rooting for Walt, he also succeeds at that. Same for Sutter, who did a great job making us hate Clay for many season but was good enough to make us feel sympathy for him last season. I think Kirkman can do the same, that's what he's doing right now with Dwight... It doesn't work well for all readers as I've seen but it works for me, I don't hate Dwight as much as I did in the beginning even if I can't say I "like" him...

1 is the best, and 10 is....well, not bad, but not great.

Also, this list is just male characters. I'll try to do another one but with girls next time.

1. The Jesus. He can get out of any bindings, he cant hotwire cars ( so he's practical), he can kick your face in and he has an sweet trenchcoat. Dream husband of the Zombie apococalypse.

2. Abraham. He's an gentle giant, who also knows how to fucking kick ass like an pro. Plus he has an majestic stache,

3. Eugene. There is this....chubby loveliness to him. Plus he is practical as fuck.

4. Douglas Monroe. He was an playa through and through. Never forgotten.

5. Dwight. I have an thing for burnscar victims with an badboy attitude.

6. Tyreese. Because anyone who has hotten the honor of boning Michonne (legally) deserves respect.

7. Morgan. Same as above.

8. Dale. He always knew what to do. But he's so old, and i am not down with old.

9. Negan. He woulve gotten higher if it weren't for the fact that he's an dick. He dresses nicely though.

10. Allen. I thought he seemed like an nice enough guy. Plus, he sorta looks like my dad, which is super weird.
