Alternatively, you could also just call me Soiled_Panties, on account of how pissy I can be.

Everything sounds good apart from Reedus. I hate this new trend in the game industry of hiring big name actors over actual voice actors. It really needs to stop.

I just watched some demo gameplay and regardless of whether you're turned on or off by the prospect of Norman Reedus being in it, the game looks seven shades of awesome. Definitely looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

The demo looked creepy as shit. It was kind of weird seeing a Silent Hill game in first person mode, but I guess they're going for the cinematic Outlast experience for a change. Visually it looks amazing, and already I can definitely notice Guillermo's influence in the game as it reminded me a lot of the movie "Mama". That guy has an awesome imagination for fucked up monsters, ghosts and other weird shit, so I'm definitely excited to see how the game develops. As for Norman Reedus, I'm not particular bothered so long as he does a decent job, which I think he will anyway.

I played PT. It was definitely scary and creepy as hell. It was also pretty confusing to progress through. The final ending trigger seems totally random, which has gotten frustrating for basically everyone. I think the first-person perspective was just to hide Reedus, in addition to the content being a playable teaser reveal and not a demo for the true game. So, not necessarily indicative of how the actual game will play.

I'm fine with Norman Reedus, as long as he does a good job. I am a bit concerned though, considering that he's not a professional voice actor. Del Toro is really talented with monster designs, so I'm not worried there, although I hope he respects the themes that Silent Hill monsters are known for. I'm not sure how I feel about Kojima being involved. Is he writing? I don't think Silent Hill is really his thing, judging from the heavy-handed style of his other games. Call me a purist.

Huge fan of the Silent Hill franchise since #1 here. I'm extremely excited for this next installment. The visuals from that teaser alone looked pretty incredible and creepy as Hell.

And I for one am nothing but excited about Norman Reedus being involved, as I get to see two of my two favorite horror franchises collide. Fanboy-ing aside, I think he'll do great.

Here's a conceptual trailer they released. I seriously can't wait for this game.

Also just found this bit of news which I'm not crazy about...possible episodic releases? That's Telltale's thing, dammit.

Glob damn, Toy Story just keeps getting weirder and weirder!

Apparently the conceptual trailer was supposed to be released before the demo, but I guess they were late on that one. Still a creepy trailer though. I'm not sure how I feel about an episodic release as I like to play my games in full. I can wait for TV shows, video games I cannot! Also I'm curious to see whether or not they'll stick to first person mode or alternate between that and third person throughout different parts of the game. They did show Norman Reedus at the end of the demo, so I'm hoping it will be both!

The game has been all but cancelled and Sony are pulling the P.T demo from PS store next month. Fuck.  :(

What the fuck? But the PT looked so fucking good, and the little trailer at the end...this was one of only a handful of games I've gotten really excited over in a long time. First that shit with GabeN and now this...not a good week in gaming news.

I know, right? P.T was the first game in a while that genuinely made me piss my pants just by taking a few steps forward, so I was excited to finally play a game that could give me that intense adrenaline rush you don't usually get in most vidya games.

I think the reason as to why it's going to be cancelled is because Konami are parting ways with Hideo Kojima, the developer of Silent Hills  and the Metal Gear Solid games after he has finished The Phantom Pain. Why that is, I have no idea. The best case scenario is that it becomes vaporware and Konami hire somebody else to pick it back up at some point, however, with no Guillermo, Norman or Kojima, it probably will be nothing like what it was set out to be.

Don't even get me started on Steam and paying for mods.

I just re-watched the playable teaser of Silent Hill and it was amazing. It is just one of the scariest things I've seen, so creepy, so disconcerting, so Silent Hill. Its a shame they are not going to go through with it.
