this is how i would like the season to break down (but i know its not going to happen)

episodes 1 = they break out of terminus

episodes 2 + 3 = they are being tracked down by termites

episode 4 = kill all the termites

episode 5, 6, 7 = on the road to D.C

episode 8 = they find out stuff....dont wanna spoil but midseason finale would end with them finding ASZ

MID SEASON BREAK

episodes 9 - 16 = all the drama at ASZ ending in them being trapped there during the hoard

THEN the first half of season 6 would be them meeting the hill top and the second half of season 6 would kick off with negan introducing lucy.

they should just let me write the whole thing! lol

Action, a lot more action.  And a lot less psycho-babble  conversations about how people feel.

I Second the above poar re No More Farmer Rick, but I also don't want to see Rick as a near psychothic Brute.   I want to see the Rick that is strong enougn to do what it takes to survive, but is also a hero and not an animal.

NO more boring character development dialogue.   Develop the characters through their actions and their stories.   If you have to spell it out like the viewers are dense, it is lame and not interesting.  Good acting and good story tells more about the characters than any lame "let's discuss it without bothering to worry about our present safety or theats behind the next tree" heart-to-hearts.   The Carol-Lizze-Mika-Tyrese story was a fabulous example of how to tell an intense story without psychobabble.

More complex story lines like the Rick-Tyrese-Karen-David-Carol-Judith-Lizzie-Mika story of Season 4.   It was marvelously complex, one of TWD's best story lines, so heart stopping and so well acted across the board with all actors.   (The Shane-Lori-Rick-Carl story of S1/S2 was equally complex and compelling)

Somebody in the series to decide they want to fight back against the Zombie epidemic (even if they are a failure).   I guess, as it is now set up, that would mean more action for Abraham Ford, Rosita and Eugene -- even though it is obvious that Eugene is a flake and not the real thing.   Does it bug anybody other than me that the characters are not boiling mad at the walkers?   Is there not an upcoming generation of youngsters that want to take them out and save the world?

The end of the  everybody-out-there-is-a-bad-guy theme.   If the story keeps on in the direction it is now going -- with humans killing humans  -- all the characters and the rest of humanity will be extinct by the time Season 5 ends.  Already, they are facing extinction as all the children, teens and tweens except Carl and Judith (and maybe the Morales family children) have been killed off.   Unless Terminus has teens, tweens and children who can be rescued from their delusional Termite parents -- or Rick and his group find some other stable groups of people with families not led by mad men-- human beings are toast.    That makes the survival story boring and nothing more than a well-acted Mad Max.

Even if this were true that humans killing humans will decimate the population even further, there is usually one person/group left standing. So that surviving group will continue the human race. As for the threat of zombies, that too will eventually be taken care of.

I would like this also, and I've been trying to think of an episode that didn't have a single zombie in it but there hasn't been.

The zombies/walkers are always going to be present and shown, even as background fillers and not a particular threat during an episode. They are a reminder of what the show is about and the underlying ever present danger the survivors now face.

Presumably ASZ means

Spoiler
? Surprised you didn't get busted for spoiler-ing.
Hopefully they'll do the road trip thing.
Abraham I think will have a 2nd or 3rd or 4th in command role with the group. We know Daryl is #2, Glenn has mostly been #3 guy. Just wondering what Eugene is going to do when he's busted. Someone in the group really needs to enlighten the Abraham, Eugene, Rosita trio about what happened at the CDC.

IMO the show isn't about the zombies but rather the humans. There have been episodes where they don't cause any carnage, so they could easily remove them and it wouldn't be less compelling (depending on the episode). And sooner or later the humans are eventually going to have control over them. There's only so much threats of walkers we see over and over again before it becomes redundant. You shouldn't be still having problems with these creatures two years down the road unless they are in a herd.

The comic has had issues where we don't see a single zombie at all. At our current point

Spoiler

And the zombies are more of a force of nature. The majority of the time we won't ever face real danger from ten bar one or two occasions since they can deal with them now. Kirkman has said many times also that you could replace zombies with any other apocalypse and we would have roughly the same story.

I do see where your coming from, but nowadays with the exception of the herds, our characters just breeze past them without a care in the world and that's how it's meant to be.

Ok, so I would love to see some Gareth backstory,  and in a perfect world, it would highlight the torment that Gareth feels when people mistakenly called him Garth.  The anguish that finally sent him on a downward spiral, culminating in him killing every person he thought called him Garth.  The names on the floor are a reminder to call people by their given name, or suffer the wrath of Gareth, he is a stickler for details.

I can't imagine why he would get so upset that people call him Garth.

Lol haha. I wouldn't blame Gareth though, but his reasoning for torture and the like would be a bit, extreme to say the least.

I expect a strong start, a shaky middle and an appalling end.

Actually that describes the last two seasons for me (excluding the middle, I quite enjoyed both). Here's hoping season5 breaks the trend.
