Well, I’m sure there is no way this will come back to bite them all in the ass.
What a let down, I am so disappointed, a small scuffle a lot of monologing and Rick being a complete dumbass and everyone else going along, unbelievable.
I also thought Andrea sniped Negan and we were done but no, we need to save him and what? reform him, what complete bullshit and Maggie, I lost all the respect she had finally regained.

That's pretty sweet that there's someone repping the 216 in here. I'm down in the 330 myself...
What I'm still trying to figure out is if Rick went out in 125 with the intention of letting Negan live, and if so why bother slashing his throat to begin with? That's a kill move, not something you do to a guy you intend to keep alive.

And who thinks having Dwight in charge is going to be a good thing? He's a wily bastard.
I'm not sure what ending I was waiting for to AOW, but this had better be the calm before a real shitstorm and things get interesting again. I didn't really want any major deaths, but just something worthy of ending the arc that was suppose to change the direction of WD..
Whatever.. Maybe the regular schedule will return some better story/character development.

Oh, my god! I was published in this letter! I'm AndyTheZombie! Wow! 2nd time in a row! (I was first published in 125, but I put my whole name instead of my TWD wiki name. Ha, I fooled them!)

I think this is where I jump ship with the series.
I loved the zombie stories, the on the road, all that.
I'm just not interested in the "rebuilding society" aspect of it all.
So uh....since it's pretty much confirmed to be where the series is going, adios?
I'll just pretend the series ended at 100 for now lol
at least until I'm proven wrong

It won't matter though people will still by the comics. He has them hooked and he knows it.
Angry at rick, and Maggie....also dwight, you know what I'm angry at everybody. Mainly kirkman people he has turned our faves into complete morons.
You are trying to rebuild civilization. You don't have the time to keep 2-3 guys to watch Negan. That man power could go elsewhere.

Sorry to hear that you're quitting on the comics. I myself love the aspect of rebuilding civilisation, but I can understand why it's not everybody's cup of tea. Hope you change your mind.

Personally I find the idea of rebuilding civilization after an apocalypse a lot more fascinating at this point than an ongoing zombie threat. It's more interesting than the formulaic, find a safe haven, zombies & people are a threat, run, find a safe haven, zombies & people are a threat, rinse, repeat, etc, etc, ad nauseam. Kirkman isn't trolling when he says 127 is going to take this story to new and exciting places. As much as I'd love to see the group on the road again, I find this changing of the guard to be not only logical, but interesting. Who knows, maybe we'll get the group on the road again in the future as they expand the safe zone area around Washington D.C. and beyond?

I read this through first time quite quickly and I only just realised Andrea didn't shoot Negan... Right?
I thought she shot him in the back. In that panel where his eyes roll upwards, him passing out. I thought he was rolling his eyes at Andrea screaming Rick, like 'Oh god what now' lol.
Completely misread that. Which brings up the point, why didn't Andrea shoot Negan, she just watches Rick getting his arse handed to him.

I agree. I think this issue proved there isn't going to be a time jump. This issue was bad, but the story can go to new and exciting places nowPersonally I find the idea of rebuilding civilization after an apocalypse a lot more fascinating at this point than an ongoing zombie threat. Rick can get his prosthetic and close this chapter, Dwight can be reunited with Sherry and experience the hardships of being a leader, the Carsons will reunite, and I'm guessing many are going to be unhappy with Rick for his decision
Plus, the next volume looks like a brief return to form with the new group, so the people who want everyone to be on the road will (briefly) get their wish
Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

Why would it matter if people are upset with Rick?
He never even told them they where in danger and they didnt get pissed about that................I really do not look forward to full issues of debate on who is going to build a road or go on supply runs or cook the food tonight.

After another retread I found it difficult to understand why Carl didn't just shoot Negan. He pretty much offed Ben the moment the group weren't looking, why was he just standing there looking at him with the gun raised?
This is pretty much the entire problem with the issue lol Carl has never really shown mercy before, why the fuck start now?
"I believe in Rick Grimes."

I think the only thing that fascinates me with it is HOW they rebuild. They will do a lot of things different and it'll be interesting. Also. Later you will have newer groups joining them in rebuilding.
Still angry negan lives though.

I agree with this. I think Kirkman has always intended for us to get to this point, to make us think it'll just be another formulaic storytelling. But he's completely changed the ball, and is getting into the stuff you don't always see in zombie media.
