I am not excited at all personally. I didn't like his character from the beginning, and I was hoping he would die at the conclusion of the last season (because this didn't happen, it made a average season, sub-par.). I feel like his return is something that is just something to "check off", and not something that is really going to bring any more depth to the show.GOVERNOR IS BACK!
How pumped or not pumped are you for his return?
I personally am very excited, love the Governor and I'm sure his return will be awesome!
Gimple will not let us down.
His return will hopefully signify a quicker tempo to this season. So far this season has been rather slow, so hopefully some bombshell events start occurring.

Kind of mixed feelings here. The Governor of last season tended to become less menacing for me as the series was brought to a close. If the writers focus more on him being a twisted, psychopath who is hell bent on carnage then I'll be excited.
I agree. I never really saw what was so "bad" about TG last season. If he was more mentally unstable I believe he would be a more menacing and deep character.

I would rather prefer seeing the group discovering new people/communities (bad/good).
Not to mention, I would love to see them, leaving the prison.
Nevertheless, what I would like to see, I enjoy so much the show that I will certainly not complain too much about what may come next with TG.

So far is Season 4.
Eps.1&2 Plot builder episode (prison)
Ep. 3 story plays out
Ep. 4 story plays out / plot resolution (Carol)
Ep. 5 Plot resolution (illness)
Ep. 6 Plot builder (Guv)
Ep. 7 Pressumably Plot builder (Guv)
Ep. 8 Pressumably story plays out (prison Vs. Guv) cliff hanger.... (possible Plot resolution (Guv) then cliff hanger...)
mid-season Break
Ep. 9 Plot resolution (Guv) Plot builder (what's next) (possible Plot Builder (whats next)
I guess what I mean is the balance just seems off. I don't see how the next episode will deal with the prison becuase we are stuck in the Guv flashback up until we see him arrive at the prison. So presummabably Ep.7 will be soley abou the Guv, which leads us directly into the mid-season finally which could/should show the final resolution of the Guv but I am expecting that Guv/Prison Battle to be the hook over the Break (for the third time I might add).
My greater point is that why most there be 50% of the first half of the season as plot building episodes. Justbecause they failed to resolve the Guv in season 3, that story has already had enough build up we must we devote another 12.5% of the season re-building him agian?
Just kill the Guv already, I love the character, i love the acting, but he is just played out. As AggieValley said: "The Guv, he's soooo season 3"
Edit: I only speculate please don't tell me what you saw in the preview or heard on Talking Dead. Thanks.
