I had to rewind because I wasn't sure what Tara said

She mentions her sister and nephew

What the fuck? Shouldn't she have said niece? Did not a single person on set speak up during that part?

Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

Yes, how can you forget Shumpert? Fuck. You reminded me. I was just starting to get over his tragic, offscreen death, too.

OMG I heard her say nephew as well but I thought I was crazy so I just didn't think about it. WTF how could none of the editors OR ACTORS not catch that?

And what's wrong with killing bunnies? Daryl kills defenseless little squirrels.

That's exactly what I thought lol but then I remembered that they actually eat Daryl's squirrels. Lizzie just sort of liked messing with them using a knife haha

I love the comics and the show, and usually I would be thrilled to have all these characters and scenes correlating with the comics. However, I just feel like I know exactly what's gonna happen from here on out. Of course they will most likely change a lot of it and make it different. It just feels the same to me. I guess what I thought I wanted was it to be the same, but it takes out all of the surprise. Sorry if I totally rambled!

I have so many thoughts about tonight's episode, but I just have to get one huge gripe off my chest... how could they NOT have a preplanned rendezvous point?!?! There are so many ways they could have explored these exact same scenarios while STILL having a preplanned rendezvous point. Maybe one group ran into a herd and couldn't get there (Daryl/Beth), maybe one group had injured people and needed to hold up somewhere first (Rick/Carl), maybe the rendezvous point was Woodbury town hall which was burned down and unsafe to wait at (Tyrese/Kids), maybe one group met up with a different group before getting to the rendezvous point (Glen/Tara), etc. I could have accepted any stupid explanation for why they couldn't find each other at a preplanned rendezvous point, but I hate that, once again, we're being asked to accept complete stupidity by the characters for not having a plan.

I am more in love with Lizzie than ever before. I want that little psychopath to outlive everyone. I hope she "Carols" baby Judith soon... ya know, for the safety of the group. (But after one "death scare", I think Judith will have a long Walking Dead life now.) And what's wrong with killing bunnies? Daryl kills defenseless little squirrels.

Daryl/Beth was almost painful to watch in its predictability and lack of development of story or character. Imagine how much more believable or effective her diary entry or burning of the pages would have been if we had ever seen her once writing in a diary in the past two seasons.

I found Glen's segment the most interesting. I don't know anything about Abraham and his group except from what I've read online, but I'm just happy we have new characters again.

Nice to "see" you again. It's been a while. :)

One thing from "Too far Gone" is that they mentioned that there were supplies on bus, so we can gather that they had some plan to use the bus to evacuate the prison, if need be. It doesn't seem like they planned if they were all separated, though.

The one thing that bugs me is why everyone left on foot. We know that they have plenty of vehicles.

Why didn't Glenn and Tara use a vehicle to leave the prison?

Daryl kills defenseless little squirrels for food, not for sport. If Lizzie had handed them to Tyreese,  so they could roast them over a fire, I wouldn't have a problem with her killing them. However, she killed them just because she is fascinated with death.

How do you know she wasn't planning on eating them? While Tyreese built a fire, she could have been skinning the bunnies to cook, but Judith started crying so they had to handle that and then they had to run off because of the approaching walkers.

(To be clear, I definitely think she was continuing her psycho death fascination too... but I also saw it as something practical for her to do since it looked like they were starting to settle in to camp for the night and may have needed food.)

I'm NOT a fan of having little segments with each of the separate groups. I know there isn't any other choice right now, really, but I sure as heck hope they start joining up with the rest soon, so we can have more time with everyone.  I was just starting to get interested in what was going on with each group, and then it would switch to someone else.

Last week's episode was much better, for me.  We got inside Carl's head so much and he had an arc.  This episode was too choppy for my tastes.  But, hopefully with each episode they will come more and more together.  After Woodbury, I don't exactly get warm and fuzzy feelings from that "sanctuary" sign.  I haven't read the comic, so I don't know where that is going.

I'm not a fan of Beth, but I did feel bad for her.  I don't blame her for having a meltdown, she has seen and been through a LOT that is very personal in the last few hours/day.

Maybe the most interesting scene for me was the one where whatsherface almost smothers Judith.   I knew they wouldn't go through with that, but still! Also, Judith's eyes looked EXACTLY like Lori's, to me.  It is an interesting choice that they saved her.  I wonder if they are saving her death for something even more dramatic later, or are they really just going to keep her around?

Carol's return felt super anti-climactic to me.  Other major news: those bunnies were freaking cute. I do think Lizzie was planning on making a meal out of them, but they had to run.

Yes, they did have to run off, but if Lizzie was planning on having the rabbits for dinner why not share that rather then keeping them hidden. They didn't hide the fact that they found the grapes. No, as you said in parentheses, clearly Lizzie is "continuing her psycho death fascination."

The scene with the dying man on the train tracks was just a struggle to watch. He tells Tyreese and the gang to follow the tracks and then they're all just like:

"Alright then. We'll uh...be going now. Good luck with your bite and dead friends and family..." *slowly walks away* "Also, if you don't mind, we're never going to mention you again. Not even the little girls in our group. You'll ostensibly not exist to us anymore. So uh...lates!"

That guy eventually turned into the walker that attacked, then was dispatched by, Beth & Daryl.

It's nice to be back! There are so many new people, I almost didn't recognize the place! :)

I agree about the vehicles. It would seem that at least one group would have managed to get to one, most logically Tara and Glenn since at least one car should have still been there and no one was shooting at them anymore. Or, at least show a shot of all the vehicles in flames to explain why they didn't leave in one of the escape cars.

By the way, "Fair - Not What I Expected" in the poll should be changed to "Fair - Exactly What I Expected, Too Predictable". But maybe I tend to spend too much time in the spoiler thread.

Definitely agree on Carol's return being anti-climatic. In my head, I had pictured a much more dramatic entrance.

I agree about the "fixated on death" part, but they stepped on the grapes when they ran off that time, so I could see her leaving the dead bunnies when running off this time even if this was the first time she had killed something for food... even if it was also to satisfy her "cray cray" tendencies.

You can tell that's not why she was killing them because she does it discreetly so that neither Tyreese nor Mika can see what she's doing. If it was for food she would have said something or Tyreese probably would have been skinning them himself. But she says nothing and just outright kills them.

Lets also not forget that she was totally going to smother Judith which pretty much seals the deal on what she was doing with those rabbits.

Also, AMC needs to stop revealing too much in the previews. Tyreese carrying Judith may have been an understandable oversight, but Glenn was featured in the previews, and all of Maggie's section would have been so much more interesting if the viewer didn't already know from the previews that Glenn was not in that bus.

I voted excellent for one reason. The Lizzy is a psycho reveal. It was evident to me that she had no intention of eating those bunnies. Lizzy is a definite problem that nobody even knows about.

Had that not happened I would have said good with critiques. For example, how is it that walkers can take down a horse but Glenn can push through a horde of them? The sheer weight of them would have brought him to the ground. Not that I wanted him to die. But let's just say it was a superhero moment.

Also, I agree with others who have said Carol's return was underwhelming. Too bad because lots of people were anticipating it with excitement.

I was on the edge of my seat watching poor Tyreese trying to manage Judith.

Not bad but like others here, I'd prefer more time with each character group. Development is very necessary here. This way we have more angst as viewers when a (beloved) character dies.

As one who explores deep dark places, my thought/critique was; "Glenn, leave the fricken door open!" The more light the better. Less is definitely not more in (potentially) dangerous, dark places. However. Nice to see that he wasn't going to just lay there and grieve, he refused to believe it. Got off his ass and was proactive.

For example, how is it that walkers can take down a horse but Glenn can push through a horde of them? The sheer weight of them would have brought him to the ground. Not that I wanted him to die. But let's just say it was a superhero moment.

That! None were actually trying to bite the armor , at his arms, legs whatever they could grab ahold of long enough to take a bite, and they supposedly have a strong grip that's tough to wiggle out of. You get 10-15 grabbing/holding on you, in a full circle crush, you're pretty much immobilized. Question is though he grabbed at his side. I recall he was still weak with the previous sickness, but not injured. Broken rib maybe?

How did he end up atop of the broken walkway to begin with?

Yeah, he saw Tara still had a full clip, though it wasn't no guarantee (to him) that she didn't shoot into their compound. She kept apologizing, but if she was apologizing because she felt a part of the group that slaughtered (ala a certain German party group mentality/responsibility) or for just being there. Now another group. Glenn, you gonna stay or keep searching? Oh and as far as Abraham's group "just watching" It's likely that Lily didn't hear them just pull up because she was bashing loudly on that walker. Not to mention to see how much of a fighter she was, is why they possibly held back. They likely saw Glenn's fighting (in armor) from a distance and headed on over.

Lizzy, definite serial killer in the making. Evolving into a sociopath, which is the primary psyche of SK's. Agreed, that she killed those bunnies for her enjoyment. She'll do a Dexter and perhaps Carol will "mentor" her to find "just" murders. Nah, the writers know better than that.

Someone asked if Beth was 14 years old? No? Sure was acting like it. Is she Peter Panning? Don't wanna grow up! I'd expect a bit more maturity in the urgency she had to look for what's left of her family. Yes, she's twice seen close family members die in front of her and seen at least one of them resurrected and put down again. If she becomes convinced that Maggie (the last) is dead she may follow through with her original plan of "opting out". Burning her diary pages of hope shows she's on the path of despair. But it's been a while since the farm.
Daryl, stony quiet. He wasn't so quiet before. Yeah, any 'semblance of a family life gets torn apart right before his eyes. Literally and figuratively.  His mother, brother, and psudeo-brothers. Gone once again. Is he beginning to despair as well? Losing hope?

Carol's appearance was anti-climatic, almost expected. Rick, Carl, Glenn and her are the only survivors of the "Atlanta-group". Besides who's going to mentor the girls. Nice matronly role-model. Did she watch Lizzy for a while and stopped her just in time? The Judith was a threat, Karen and Dave were a "threat". Or did she quickly intervened after finding them? Surprised that she didn't put the bitten guy out of his misery. Either way he's going to turn and become a threat. With Tyreese's rifle I'd given him the time it took for him to grieve and eat a bullet. Five minutes at best, giving the girls (and Tyreese) time to rest and eat/drink. Don't need him doing what Carl, Shane & Rick did. Leave a walker (or potential walker)  "alive". Sure the survivors are outnumbered but don't add to the opposing team. Sheesh.

Maggie was having her moment. Someone on my FB feed in the middle of the show said "Glenn, nooooo!" then posted again, "Oops! Nevermind." Kinda spoiled it for me. Either way, I think Lauren Cohan did a good job acting, particularly realizing the last walker wasn't, Glenn.
