I'm ready to start pulling two Walking Dead books per month. Once "All Out War" ends I'll be awfully sad that the bi-weekly releases will be ending.

I really wanna see a spin-off comic series drawn and written by a totally different team. It doesn't even have to be an ongoing title, just a mini-series or something would be good enough for me. I don't even particularly care what its about, I'd just like to see it be a whole different group than the current ongoing title.

What do you all think? Interested to know what you'd want to see the plot revolving around.

When you vote, pretend that all your stipulations for the comic being made are met. (IE: if it has to be written by Kirkman for you to accept it, then pretend Kirkman is writing it)

Only if Kirkman is writing everything.............i know other comics have different writers all the time but i was hoping this comic would stick to only one writer.

Novels i am fine with others helping out but I sure would like the comic to stick to one guy only.

I honestly want to see Scott Snyder writing the spin-off. In my dreams it'd be him and Tony Moore.

Id read it. I cant get enough of any type of apocalyptic stories. I would prefer kirkman to write it. I wouldnt want it about any of the characters we know already.

Doesn't anybody else feel that Kirkman writing it wouldn't be a good thing, as he's stretched thin between his current projects?

I think Kirkman is already stretching himself a bit thin. Adding another big time consuming comic to his schedule would make everything else suffer. I think its already happened before, the comic was dull IMO from 2010 up till issue 100 with his time being so invested in the show. I don't even know whats going on with Invincible right now, they seem to just release them with no real consistency like he just forgets, I get so sick of waiting for new Invincible. I can only see a new walking dead comic being detrimental.

Not sure how this idea would work with other creators, since The Walking Dead is creator owned...

Anyway, I'd probably read a spin-off, if it was a limited series. I think it's easier to tell a high quality story when there is a definite and defined end in mind from the beginning.

I don't think it would seem like TWD without Kirkman, though. I'd probably prefer that he write this hypothetical spin-off.

On the other hand, there are tons of good stuff out there to read, so a TWD spin-off is not something that I really ever think about.

I think it would be a cool idea. It's nice to see the zombie apocalypse from different perspectives.

"Yeah, there's no "U" either. So I guess if I'm not on the team, and you're not on the team, nobody's on the God damn team. The team sucks!"

I'd like a spin-off if it was a miniseries, maybe like 18 issues? any surviving characters could be brought into the walking dead as new characters, that way we can get background on certain characters and you'd want to root for them more when they are introduced. hell even a 6 issue series would be cool.

I'd read it. Can we all agree that it shouldn't be about the Governor, at least? :P

Well the governor is a great character but yeah is story has been completely told, the governor and rick are the two most developed characters in the comic cannon walking dead universe.

I'd read a spin off of Negan's early days in the ZA.

I'd rather see it introduce a whole new cast of character who some day end up meeting the current group.

If it was like a longer version of the specials....sure. (Not very interested in teh whole....''new group'' idea.)

Because i want to see Abe's backstory. I want to SEE the story he told back when he first opened up to Rick.

I want to see Jesus's travel to the Hilltop.

I want flashbacks.

Good ones.

Agreed. Jesus and Abe aren't the only ones though. Negan, Dwight, Heath, Aaron, Denise and Eugene could all use flashbacks.

To be honest. No. What we will probably seed is the same thing that is happening.....people killing people. It'll be redundant.

The only way I see this working out is if the group isn't a bunch of badass people and approach zombies in a different way.

That's the beauty of a spin off comic series; it can be approached any way the writer wants.
