It looks pretty interesting and since it's made by Telltale, it's definitely buy. It also helps that I love mysteries. Should be released in the "third quarter of 2013"
It will also be episodic
Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

The story, the characters, the atmosphere, it's all great. I like the controls, too. Everything seems a lot more streamlined than it was in The Walking Dead. I'm already not one of those people that hate QTEs in everything, but I daresay that The Wolf Among Us has the most enjoyable and fun QTEs ever. I hope TWD Season 2 implements them.

It's not on Mac....yet
CRAP!
I also bought the first two volumes of Fables, as recommended by Dream. I'll read those soon

I think the QTE's work extremely well, looking forward to the upcoming episodesI played and finished it yesterday. I knew nothing about the Fables comics before playing it and I wasn't really interested in it (even though it was made by Telltale) until I saw some awesome gameplay footage and then I just had to download it and play it for myself.

Spike: Buffy ran you through with a sword.
Angel: Yeah, but I made her do it. Signaled her with my eyes.
Spike: She killed you. I helped her. That one counts as mine.

Surprisingly, the QuickTime events work really well, you should definitely pick it up, it's worth the money.
The last one I played for any length was the trial of TWD. It was all right. I just hate having to be like spot on accurate for it work and it seemed like that was the case from the video play I saw.

The QTE's were well-done, with strict but fair time limits and making the player have to work and search for success (while having to endure the tension of reaching with the cursor), and really made me feel invovled with the fights. I felt like I was in the action, not just admiring it and I did particuarly enjoy having multiple opportunities to play out some bits of the fights a few times. Also, the game looks especially gorgeous under that neon-ish lighting during the night.
One thing I sincerely hope Telltale improves on in the future is the shoddy framerate and frequent cinematic stuttering that plague their games. The scenes and dialogue would flow much better with more smoothness all around. These issues do not break them by any means, but I feel they would have greater impact with better technical performance. But overall, great first episode and I'm looking forward to more. I'm actually interested in the comic series now.

Man, more people should be talking about this. I wonder if people know this is Telltale Games? What an amazing episode. I hope they incorporate the Quicktime events in this in Season 2 of TWD rather than what we saw in 400 Days

I wish we had more time for dialogue choices. I'm a pretty fast reader but I feel like TWD usually gave me enough time to look at all the choices and think about what I was going to say. In this, I usually clicked a choice and then realized another choice was the better option because I just figured out what it meant
I agree, there were a few points where that timer went faster than I'd like. We are trying to deduce leads, evidence, and liars after all and fully consider our options with them. It's not like Walking Dead where you can just do nice/angry/passive/silent all the time.

Been meaning to get into the comic book but the art isn't really my favorite.I read the first two volumes of the comic series. It's really good and I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the game. It's a prequel apparently
