how do you all think ezekiel and his tiger will play into the bigger picture of twd?
what do you think their role will be in AOW (short-term)?
are they around for the long haul?
i personally hope that ezekiel survives aow and is around for the long haul. i think that the dynamic of him and rick being in the same, for lack of a better word, group would be awesome. i really want to see more of his character and how he progresses throughout the series. on the other hand i doubt the tiger will be around beyond aow. but there will definitely be some sort of tiger to the rescue moment. thats going to be awesome.
let me know what you guys think!

were actually going to be able to see this coming in issue 117! its going to be really interesting for sure. should give us a good indication wether or not he'll be around for long.I don't know what you guys think but I would love to see Ezekiel on the road, where he doesn't have to pretend to be a king. We would get to see the real Ezekiel, not just the face he puts on for his people.

A big reason I admired the Walking Dead is because Kirkman avoided zombie cliches that made them cartoonish and silly (smart zombies, zombie animals, etc). I wouldn't say it caused the downfall of the comics but its definitely the low point. It's completely ridiculous. I'm betting we'll never see it on the show because that would transfer horribly to TV and if you did anybody about the Walking Dead and mentioned the tiger, they'd think its just some silly zombie comic.Oh god, please just kill him and that damn tiger now. They've single-handedly caused the downfall of the comics.
I don't know if Kirkman was thinking we'd love it because it's cool. I don't understand what the grand plan is with this. It could easily be a dog, it just wouldn't be as threatening.
Imagine a group of a hundred motorcycles driving down a freeway. Eventually, they hit a junction. One road goes northwest and the other goes northeast. So one guy, we'll call him S, says, "Let's go northwest!" A mile past the intersection, a semi careens into the group and kills ninety of them. Ten are wounded, but they survive and keep going. Eventually, they hit 10,000 miles. S suddenly has his consciousness thrown into his past body right before the junction. Now, he says, "Let's go northeast!" All 100 bikers survive. Happily ever after, right? But what about the ten, no nine, who went northwest and survived? What happens to the reality they were living? Does it just disappear now that S has changed the past? It's not like only bad things happened on that 10,000 mile journey. Maybe one of them fell in love with a gas station attendant and got her pregnant or maybe one adopted a homeless kid that joined the adventure. That 10,000 mile journey would be full of stories. Romances, farewells, friendships...the loss of those ninety lives is horrible and unfortunate, but what would rewriting their history mean? The nine who survived lived full lives and did the best they could with the hand they were dealt. How could it be right to just erase all that? Isn't that worth something? Is there a point to a world where everything is happy? Are people who struggle for a better life just idiots? Being human is about fighting even when it seems hopeless and finding happiness in a world that hates it. Are you saying that's worthless?

I wouldn't go that far. It's not that bad and I certainly don't think it's ruining the comics. I mean, it is pretty silly in to look at but the justification is sensible enough. If it was a mythical tiger and apocolypse prophet ripping up zombies together I'd be worried, but it's actually just a zoo animal and its emotionally attatched keeper (probably from the Smithsonian Zoo) who were together at the time of the outbreak, survived, and gained a following at a campus they holed up in. Nothing really more than a guy and his pet. It's strange, but not impossible. The biggest issue is feeding that thing enough to keep it docile, which has been recognized.
The thing with the Kingdom that's really odd is everyone acting like it's the early Renaissance. I get it's all just an act to them, but is there honestly any legitimate reason these people would have to play pretend like that? Put that on top of them being led by a prophet-esque guy with a pet tiger, and it's pretty darn cartoonish. But Walking Dead has always been very much a comic book, from the drama to the characters to the violence. It doesn't bother me.
