I'm curious about what happened to them. I wonder if they'll stay relatively true to the comic with those two.

With the evolution of Rick this season, which I'm assuming will get deeper/darker - I'm wondering if Morgan/Duane could be reintroduced as the epitome of morality/decency/normalcy

I could see Morgan trying to talk some "sense" into the Ricktator" - try to snap him out of the brutal streak he's on.

Perhaps M & D have survived this long, sneaking around, using stealth, hiding, and not going as deep/dark into this new world as Rick has had to do ( and as I can only assume the Governor has done).

I think Tex has a REALLY good point. Remember the last thing Morgan told him? "You're a good man Rick." I think he'd be shocked if he saw Rick now and would be insulted that he's changed so much. Granted of course Rick has dealt with way more problems than Morgan has, assuming Morgan was still cooped up in the same house. I think they could end up butting heads pretty good for this reason.

On another note I think it would be insanely cheesy and convenient for them to meet up at the prison. I think if they showed them back at their house and gave us a kind of look in on what is happening with Morgan and Duane that would suffice.

i liked the Morgan character from Season 1, always wondered if he survived or made it out of Atlanta. i do hope we see him and son again. it was touching seeing Rick trying to get hold of him one more time before the group got on the road to the farm.

good luck to you, Morgan.

I don't think Morgan would judge Rick harshly when he heard the whole stor. Morgan drew on Rick the moment he met him and tied him up. When he released him, he told Rick that if Rick tried anything that he would kill him. Shane, Tomas and Andrews all tried to kill Rick. After Shane,Rick no longer gives second chances.

I don't expect to see them, but it'd be a rather pleasant surprise and something I'd enjoy if they did make an appearance

As both a fan of the TV show and the comic book, I personally think they should leave Duane and Morgans story (in the TV show) untold.

For me they have always represented the unknowns. If we did find ourselves in the midst of a zombie apocalypse we'd all have friends/family that we'd likely never find and would always wonder what happened to them. I think it was a risky but worthwhile move by the writers in introducing us to two very likable characters and then letting them become one of the unanswered questions of the show.

Morgan would make an excelent replacement for Dale as a morality compass. Something the group is missing now. There needs to be a "let's stay human" ying to the "Survive at all costs" yang.

AMC could do a season webpisodes on the story of Morgan and son after Rick left them...would be a great story to tell on the web for those dying to know what happened to them...

I doubt they could afford Lennie James on a webisode budget, but I'd certainly watch it if they did something like that. The scene where Morgan couldn't shoot his wife is really what made me know that I'd love this show. Lennie James is an excellent actor, and rocked the Morgan role, and made it better than it was in the comic. (Of course, the writers had something to do with that, as well.)

I never really liked the whole Morgan and Duane story lines, I like Morgan and stuff and I think if him and Rick meet up then Morgan wouldn't judge Rick and I think Rick would be glad to see him. I honestly would like to see Morgan come in the TV show cause I think that they are going to need more people when/if they have the big fight between the Governor.

I hope we do get to see Morgan and Duane, if only to see that they survived. I loved Morgans struggle to shoot or not to shoot his walker wife. He brought a big human element to the story.

I'm on both sides. It would be cool to have Morgan and Duane back but at the same time it would also be cool to just never know what happened to them. How it would most likely be in real life.

Indeed and I think that is what makes the show, the bits of humanity that appears here and there throughout. They could've left Randall for dead, they could've just ignored Carol's pleas and stop searching for Sophia, they put Dale out of his misery and so forth.
Some actors are willing to take a cut in pay to appear in a show that they enjoy doing. It's still a "job" but if you really really like doing it you're willing to work for less. The important thing is (for an actor) is to keep working, keep up the exposure so that you'll get noticed and offered more parts later in your career. For example John Wayne starred in 172 films during his career and I betcha you could only name maybe 20 of them at best. Of those twenty about 10 are his most famous parts and those "famous" roles are the ones later in his career, i.e. True Grit, Green Berets, Brannigan, et al.

I agree about the not knowing - I was fine with that in regard to the Morales family (although I really liked Morales), but Morgan was too much of a favorite (on the show) for me not to want to see again.

DC, I'm probably unAmerican, but I don't think I could name one John Wayne movie. :P I hear what you are saying about actors taking a pay cut, but these are the webisodes we are discussing here. Heh. ;)

If we do see them again I don't think it would be with the prison arc.

Maybe after. They have to save some comic material/characters for down the road.
