Fricking loved it. I love that Rick vs. Pamela is looking like a political, mental conflict right now causing tension, instead of just straight strength and violence. I don't want another war. This is very compelling.

this issue was great, i loved Rick's jaw-drop when Euge brought Mich's katana. The discussion about the governor was priceless. I loved Rick and Pamela's socialism vs capitalism face off. I'm in oh-lord-lets-not-have-another-war camp, so i'm hoping this is a cold war of sorts.

Also, i think this issue totally vindicated my previous assertion, during AOW, when I debated with someone on this forum whether or not the ASZ was socialist/communist.

Don't put that evil on her, Ricky Bobby.

But yes, she did say her name.  Juanita Sanchez

Honestly I figure more people would want to leave and join Ricks group whereas they won't be looked down upon.

With Michonne at The Commonwealth, there could be some influence that may brew. Also, the group of Dwight, Laura, Heath, and Annie may have some exchanges with some of TC’s soldiers about life in Alexandria and whatnot. I sure hope we’ll get something like that next issue!

I hope this does not turn into political arguments..........do we really need anymore of that shit in our lives?

I do like Rick`s "btw im Rick muthafucking Grimes..nice to meet you." attitude I am sensing.   I sure hope we dont get into another war right away as well. It is a nice commonwealth, it would be terrible if someone was to start a war and destroy it.................."Ive fought people with tanks bitch"  -Rick muthafucking Grimes

I sure hope you're right. I'd love to see something good happen in the comic. We're overdue. Still I dread that this will become another big bad. I hope I'm wrong.

I think there's something that's been overlooked in the Rick Vs. Pamela thing though. Rick says that "in Alexandria we are all equal."  That's true but I think that's something much more easily accomplished in the Alexandria safe zone.

The safe zone is a neighborhood formerly occupied by politicians and a collection of D.C. elitists. Basically. it's an upscale neighborhood full of upscale homes surrounded by a wall. Virtually everyone there is living in a house that was once occupied by a congressman, senator, lobbyist etc.

Rick brags to  Pamela that he lives in a home that is no better, no worse than those of his neighbors. But since the entire safe zone is  a neighborhood formerly occupied by wealthy, D.C. types, what does that even mean?

In Rick's situation, there were plenty of fancy houses  to go around. Sure, everyone's living conditions are equal but that's because the people who used to live in them are all equally rich.    So when he says that his house is no better, no worse than those of his neighbors, I don't think that it really means anything.

And because Rick's community is so small by comparison, how hard is it to avoid the emergence of a class system?  I would think that it's much easier. I would think that a smaller community of Rick's size would be much less complex by nature.

And while Rick's society is 'equal,' it hasn't evolved much compared to Pamela's.

Oh yeah, in one issue, didn't Rick lashes out at a guy patrolling the streets because he failed to keep them clear of walkers. He warns the guard that   patrolling the roads was a job that most people would love to have?   It was clearly implied that this particular job was somehow better than other jobs. Which would imply that not all jobs have to same reward, which would imply a degree of inequality.

Shield yourself from those not bound to you by steel, for they are the blind. Aid them when you can, but lose not sight of yourself.
