What's the deal with Bob?
Is he a good guy with some demons? Is he broken?
Seems like he's got some issues. Some guilt. He didn't want to take credit for healing Sasha.
What think ye?
Should I be ashamed to say I love that movie What About Bob? No? Cool. My thoughts, most people in the ZA are fighting demons, literally and figuratively. Everyone has a hang up they need to overcome, Bob's hang up is alcohol but what is the pain he's trying to cover up with liquor. I'd like to know, but to me he seems like a decent guy and has medical training, I'd keep him around.
I agree that he has some demons, but I think he wouldn't take credit for saving Sasha because he was more interested in finding booze than finding medicine .
I think you're right. I think his deal is that he's plagued by his alcoholism. And I think he feels guilty that he focused only on getting booze rather than medicine during the supply run, so he didn't feel right accepting any of the credit for saving the sick.

So far, Bob seems like a good guy suffering from a case of survivor's guilt.
In the episode where they went to get meds at the vet clinic, Bob told Daryl that he felt cursed, because he'd been the sole survivor of two other groups. He confessed that he drank to cope with it. Bob blamed himself for the death of Beth's boyfriend at the store where the roof caved in. He refused to allow Sasha to thank him for the meds, because he was more concerned about salvaging the bottle of booze he'd found.
I think Bob's fighting a losing battle with alcoholism, because he's fighting a losing battle with his guilt, especially now that his desire to acquire alcohol has begun to put others at risk. It's like a vicious circle.
Who knows? Maybe his drinking problem has been an issue for longer than he's let on. Maybe it resulted in deaths in his previous groups too and that's why he was so reluctant to join Rick's group. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
I don't think Bob is a bad guy, but he definitely has a problem that doesn't bode well for anyone who has to rely on him.
I remember that as well. However, Kirman had stated somewhere that the Governor still had his influences on the prison before he showed up, however it was unclear what he meant with it. It never became clear afterwards either.
he was influencing peoples behavior like microphone and her tracking expeditions.

Bobby took a bullet in 4x08 "too far gone" I know they said it was a flesh wound and went right threw ho,
Still would he not need a a day a two lying down and well as a good cleaning fresh bandages and such,
